(2-Ethylhexyl) Trimellitate/ Trioctyl trimellitate/ TOTM (CAS 3319-31-1), with a stated assay of 99.5% min. This colourless transparent oily liquid, free of visible impurity, has an APHA colour of 50 max and a density of 0.987-0.997 g/cm3 at 20 °C.

TOTM is a plasticiser of the trimellitate family, chosen where flexible PVC must withstand high service temperatures, for cable insulation for example. Cable producers, compounders and additive formulators are its usual buyers. Assay, APHA colour and density are the markers used to compare offers.
