Antioxidant additives for lubricants, offered as variants intended to limit oxidation of the oil. They go into the formulation of lubricants exposed to heat and air.

In contact with air and heat an oil oxidises, thickens and forms deposits, and an antioxidant slows that change. Formulators choose the variant according to the formulation, the operating conditions and the compatibility with the other components of the blend.
