Ball pein hammer with a forged steel head and TPR handle, shown as a range of formats. The rounded pein, opposite the flat face, is used to peen, shape and rivet metal.

Mechanical, boilermaking and maintenance workshops use it to strike punches and chisels, set rivets, flatten small parts and form sheet metal. The TPR handle, made of thermoplastic rubber, is a common gripping covering on striking tools.
