Cyclohexane

Cyclohexane with a stated content of at least 99.9% (CAS 110-82-7), a colourless liquid in a 150 kg iron drum. Its Hazen colour is stated at 10 maximum.

Cyclohexane is a non-polar solvent used for resins, adhesives and paints. It is above all a raw material of polyamide chemistry, since it leads to adipic acid and caprolactam. It interests polymer producers and formulators. The stated content and Hazen colour values give reference points for comparing batches. Like solvents of its category, it calls for the usual handling and storage precautions.
