DGBE with a stated purity of at least 99% (CAS 112-34-5), a colourless liquid in a 200 kg iron drum. Its molecular formula is C8H18O3 and its melting point is stated below -70 °C.

DGBE is a glycol ether used as a solvent and coupling agent in paints, coatings, inks, industrial cleaners and some brake fluids. Paint formulators, cleaner producers and chemical distributors use it. A melting point below -70 °C means it stays liquid in cold weather.
