DIBK

DIBK, a colourless liquid ketone of CAS 108-83-8, with at least 97% DIBK plus isomer by mass, in a 165 kg drum. Its density at 20 °C is stated at 0.8040 to 0.8120 g/cm3 and its AHPI colour at 20 maximum.

This ketone serves as a solvent for coatings, inks, lacquers and adhesives. Coating formulators, printers and chemical distributors work with it. The density and colour values give reference points for comparing batches. Like the ketones of this family, DIBK calls for the usual handling and storage precautions.
