Diethylamine

Diethylamine, at least 99.5% by mass (CAS 109-89-7), a colourless liquid in a 150 kg drum or on request. It contains at most 0.2% water and 0.05% monoethylamine.

This secondary amine serves as an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceutical and agrochemical products, rubber accelerators and dyes. Fine-chemical and rubber-chemical producers and chemical distributors buy it. The stated limits on monoethylamine and water help choose the batch suited to a synthesis. Diethylamine, too, calls for the usual handling and storage precautions of this kind of chemical.
