Ethylene Glycol at 99.8 minimum (CAS 107-21-1), a transparent colourless liquid in a 230 kg iron drum. Its density at 20 °C is stated at 1.1128 to 1.1138 and its Pt-Co colour at 5 maximum.

Ethylene glycol is a raw material for polyester fibres and resins (PET), a component of coolants and antifreezes, and a solvent or intermediate for paints, inks and plasticisers. Fibre and antifreeze producers and distributors buy it. The stated density and colour values help compare batches. Like the glycols of its family, it calls for the usual handling and storage precautions.
