Eye screw in carbon steel, to be screwed into a base to attach a cable, a chain or a rope.

The eye takes a hook, a snap link or a rope, so the screw can tension a wire, hang a light fitting or guide a cable. Lighting installers, gardeners, fencing crews, joiners, decorators and maintenance teams fit it for hangings, guy lines and cable guides. As with any suspension part, the permitted load depends on the diameter, the length and the base, and should be checked before use.
