Fibreboard screw and expansion tube, in carbon steel, for fixing boards to a base.

The tube is placed in the hole drilled in the base and spreads when the screw is tightened, which holds the board in place. Suspended-ceiling installers, fitters, joiners and renovation or maintenance teams use this kind of set to fix fibreboard panels to their base. The drilling diameter must match the tube, and the length is chosen from the thickness of the board and the anchoring depth.
