Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose/HEMC, under CAS 9032-42-2, comes as a white powder. The product is used in paint and coating formulations.

This cellulose ether thickens and retains water in mixes such as building adhesives and mortars, plasters and some paints. It therefore suits producers of construction materials as well as coating formulators. HEMC is packed in 25kg bags, with other packings that can be studied on request.
