Polyanionic cellulose powder with a stated purity of 95% min and a pH of 6.0-8.0, in PAC-LV and PAC-HV grades. These abbreviations usually denote low and high viscosity.

The modified cellulose comes as a white or slightly yellow flocculent fibre powder, or as a white powder. It is used in water-based drilling-fluid formulations, where it acts on viscosity and fluid loss. Drilling-service companies, fluid formulators and raw-material traders are the usual buyers.
