Tricresyl phosphate (TCP) additive, a phosphorus compound with antiwear and extreme-pressure action. It finds its place in industrial gear oils and hydraulic oils.

TCP helps protect metal surfaces when the oil film becomes insufficient. Formulators of industrial gear and hydraulic oils choose the concentration and check compatibility with the rest of the additive system and the technical conditions planned. Like any chemical product, it is handled according to the applicable safety instructions.
