Vitamin B9/Folic Acid as a yellow crystalline powder, packed in a 25 kg carton or drum, listed under CAS 59-30-3. Acidity is limited to 0.5 ml maximum, specific rotation is at least +24° and heavy metals (as Pb) are at 10 ppm maximum.

Folic acid, or vitamin B9, is added to vitamin premixes for poultry and pigs. Acidity, specific rotation and heavy metals are the limits that formulators and feed mills use as control points.
