Wire stripper for removing the sheath of an electrical wire or cable without damaging the conductor. It frees the metal core before crimping or connecting to a terminal.

Electricians, installers, wiring technicians, maintenance staff and panel builders use it to prepare conductor ends before a connection. The diameter or cross-section of the conductor, rigid or flexible, determines the notch or setting to use; a badly adjusted stripping can nick the core and weaken the connection.
