Dibasic lead phosphite (DBLS), CAS 12141-20-7, powder, PbO 88.0 to 91.0%, H3PO3 10.0 to 12.0%. Its weight loss on heating is 0.3% at most.

A lead compound, it is used as a heat stabiliser for PVC in polymer processing. PVC processors and additive formulators work it into their recipes in powder form, taking care to spread it evenly through the mix. Handling and storing lead compounds call for the precautions usual in industrial chemistry.
