Glacial acetic acid, CAS 64-19-7, a colourless transparent liquid with a purity of at least 99.8 %. Hazen colour (platinum-cobalt) is 10 at most and water 0.15 % at most.

A concentrated acid, it is used to adjust acidity in food formulations and appears in many industrial processes. As with any chemical of this kind, it calls for the usual handling and storage precautions. The purity, Hazen colour and water figures give reference points for checking it against the intended use.
