Menthol Natural/Synthetic, CAS 89-78-1, needle-like crystals or crystal powder, melting point 41.5 to 44.0 °C. Natural menthol comes as transparent needles and synthetic menthol as a crystal powder, with a stated purity of 99 % minimum and an analysed purity of at least 99.5 %.

Menthol flavours and cools: it goes into seasonings, flavours, confectionery, chewing gum and oral-care products. It is aimed at flavour formulators and confectionery companies, who choose between needle crystals and crystal powder to suit their process.
