Tributyl Citrate TBC (CAS 77-94-1), an ester plasticiser for polymers. It is an ester of citric acid, used to soften polymers and plastic blends.

TBC is added to polymers, notably PVC and cellulose derivatives, to improve flexibility. Buyers are typically compounders, plastics converters and additive formulators. Purity, acidity and water content are the analysis parameters compared when weighing offers.
